Tech Logistics

Tech Logistics, a logistics company with over a decade of experience, has earned a strong reputation as a trusted shipping partner for the Vietnamese community and beyond. Offering everything from door-to-door deliveries between Vietnam and 28 Schengen countries to express and bulky goods transport, their multilingual team ensures fast, safe, and hassle-free service. Previously, parcels were managed manually in Excel, requiring customers to call staff for updates. To improve efficiency and enhance the customer experience, TechLog set out to create a website that strengthens their brand identity, enables self-service parcel tracking, and provides clear resources such as packaging instructions, company information, and FAQs.

Purpose

The design needed to:

  • Be simple, modern, and professional while maintaining brand identity.
  • Present potentially overwhelming tracking data in a clear and digestible way.
  • Include essential company information, educational resources, and branding assets.
  • Refresh and refine the company logo for a more consistent brand image.

My Role

As an UX/UI designer, I was responsible for crafting all high-fidelity screens and interactions in Figma with a mobile-first approach.

Design Process & Key Decisions

I approached the project by considering the website as an integrated information system, ensuring each page supports the overall goals of simplifying user interactions, delivering clear information, and reinforcing a professional brand identity. The main pages include Homepage, Tracking, Packing Instructions, About Us, Gallery, Contact, and FAQ.

Color Palette: I selected blue as the primary color to convey trustworthiness and professionalism, complemented by yellow accents for warmth and friendliness. The fonts used are Open Sans and Noto, chosen for their modern look, readability, and strong multilingual support—key for serving an international customer base.

Layout and Mobile Optimization: The design follows a mobile-first approach, ensuring optimal display on smartphones — the primary device users employ to access the service. All pages are structured with clear information hierarchy, prioritizing key content at the top and minimizing unnecessary interactions.

Homepage: The homepage serves as a guiding hub, enabling users to quickly access the parcel tracking feature, service information, and brand messaging.

About Us: This page offers comprehensive information about the company’s history, achievements, reasons to choose TechLog (Why Choose Us), and team introductions (Who We Are). Content is structured into clear sections with images and icons to create visual interest.

Parcel Tracking: The parcel tracking page is prioritized with a prominent, easy-to-find tracking code input form, and presents results in a clean, concise manner to avoid overwhelming users with information.

Packing Instructions: Organized by key categories and enhanced with icons and visual aids, this section helps customers easily understand and apply packing guidelines — even if they have limited experience or language barriers.

Gallery: The Gallery displays images illustrating the company's services and activities in a clear grid layout. I added a lightbox feature for users to conveniently view enlarged images. This presentation enhances transparency, builds trust, and evokes positive emotions toward the TechLog brand.

Contact Us: The Contact page is designed to be minimal yet complete, featuring a message form, address details, embedded Google Maps, and direct contact information. The goal is to reduce barriers for customers to reach out.

FAQ: Designed as an expand/collapse layout on a single page, this approach allows users to quickly find answers without page reloads or excessive scrolling. It minimizes information overload and keeps the interface clean and user-friendly.

Challenges

This was my first UX/UI design project, so I dedicated significant time to UX research, particularly in the logistics industry, to understand user needs, service flows, and common pain points when navigating a logistics websit - such as where users' eyes naturally land first to place key calls to action (like the hotline or tracking). Another challenge was simplifying complex parcel tracking data into a clean, intuitive interface that customers could easily use. To address this, I designed the tracking page with two tabs: the first tab prioritizes essential information (the shipment status), using a borderless table and grouping statuses by timeline to reduce information overload; the second tab provides an overview of the parcel's general details.

Conclusion and Reflection

This project successfully delivered a modern, professional, and user-friendly interface that helps customers to track their parcels independently and access key company information effortlessly. The design strengthens TechLog's brand identity while addressing long-standing pain points in their manual tracking process. Although I primarily focus on full-stack development, this work highlights my ability to create high-fidelity UI designs that solve real user problems and align with business goals.

Next Steps

  • User Testings: Future improvements could include usability testing with real users to further refine interaction flows and identify any remaining friction points.
